Home Decor Project

I posted a partial reveal after Josh's surprise party, but I never posted the majority of the pictures that I took after the fact.

I did more work to other parts of the house also, but these photos are of the living & dining room area...

{The Living Room}

{Right wall in the Living Room}

{Close up of Georgia Belle's area}

{Throw pillows & the slip covers}
(not in love with either one, but those pillows are comfy!)

{Dining Room hutch}
(with crap on either side - *embarrassed*)

{On top of the hutch}
(Prior to Josh, I never owned a vase. Now I can't give them away.)

{Dining Room centerpiece}

{Bay window in the Dining Room}
(The barely visible star on the right wall caused me many minor heart attacks. After I painted, I re-hung the star and went in the bedroom to fold clothes. I heard this funny noise, came out, and the star had fallen and lodge itself at a 90º angle, parallel to the floor, between the chair rail & the wall. Don't ask me how, but it was defying gravity. I re-hung the star, went back into the bedroom, and about 5 minutes later, heard the same noise. I came back out and it had happened again. That thing has never fallen once before, and I have no doubt it would've hurt the star and/or the tile had it hit the ground, but somehow, the superstar exhibited death defying traits and hung in there. :-))

{Hallway to the bedrooms}

{The "Organization Station"}
(... which is anything but organized now!)

Not pictured: Under cabinet lights - $40 - Lowe's
Not pictured: "Blessed" key holder in the kitchen - $8 - Burke's Outlet
Total Spent: $448

It was more than I had intended to spend, especially when you figure in the cost of the grill that I got Josh for his birthday, the charcoal, the gas, and the food for the party. I'd venture to say that the entire shin-dig cost me close to $800, and unfortunately, I wasn't wise when it came to using my plastic to pay for it, so I'll be paying for it for quite some time.

I would normally preach that "Don't do it until you can afford it," but, I am so much more comfortable at home now, it was worth it for me!

Now.. no more redecoration projects for quite some time! That's it for me for a while!
