Weekend Get-a-way
It's that time of year again. The Harley rally is over and they've been replaced by the "Memorial Day Rally" (if you're from here, you know why I referred to it with ""s) who are rude, obnoxious, loud, careless, I-could-keep-going-but-I'll-stop-now... Which means, it's time for this girl to get outta dodge!!
Our family has a tradition of heading up to the lake for Memorial Day Weekend (it works out well, because all of the traffic is coming to the beach when we're leaving and leaving the beach when we're coming home).
[To you weirdos out there: Just because I'm leaving town, don't get any ideas about figuring out where I live and trying to steal my stuff. One, you won't get very much. Two, not only do I subscribe to A-to-the-DT, I have two vicious furbabies & a mean house/pet sitter. Three, my neighbor sleeps with a rifle under his pillow - don't let the fact that he has one arm fool you. So, give up now.]
But, before my blissful weekend can commence, I have a crap-ton of things to do. Thanks to Mr. J, who decided to play softball last night and drag me away from cleaning/packing, I have gotten nothing done in the way of going out of town!
My mom is requesting no-bake cookies, I still have to clean the house & stock the fridge for my house/pet-sitter, and pack for both Josh & I. On top of that, Josh left for work at 8am and I won't see him again until we're heading out of town.
But what's a vacation if you don't have to work for it, right?
See you all next week!
See you all next week!

LOL-love the disclaimer! No-bake cookies are soooo a staple in our family. My sister used to send a batch to me once a month when I was in college. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteHaha! Hopefully no weirdos try to come by! Have a great weekend!
