TGIF, FITB Friday, & a giveaway winner!

First of all, did anyone notice that blogger has had an update and you can now post videos without have to use the old post editor?! Am I the only one excited about that? Okay, maybe I am.

Regardless, it's time to announce the winner of Sarah Pekkanen's book The Opposite of Me which I love love loved. And in case you can't decifer the following picture....

...the winner is Ann Marie from White House, Black Shutters! I just found her blog a couple of weeks ago and I love it! My favorite part of her blog is her posts about the great remodel project they undertook. It makes me feel like we weren't so crazy when we got in over our heads bought our house. If you haven't checked out her blog, you should!!

1. This weekend for The 4th of July I'll be hanging out on the beach - somewhere. AJ & I actually don't have plans this year, but we'll probably be on the beach with 233958 other people, locals & tourists alike. My big plans are for my day off!! I plan on having one of those get-as-much-accomplished-as-possible-but-totally-lay-on-the-beach-and-read-a-book days. My goal this weekend: to work on my tan.

2. Fireworks are loud.

3. Nothing says summer like laying on the beach for hours on end and taking the golf cart to go get ice cream by the pier on the weekend evenings.

4. My favorite summer memory is of all the summers I spent in high school & college either lifeguarding or waiting tables. I either had an amazing tan (that I miss oh so much) or a wad of money in my pocket at all times. And my hair was naturally platinum. Those were the days!

5. My favorite thing about summer is the warm weather, the warm ocean, the cold drinks and the cold ice cream. :-)

6. Summer in a word is my favoritest. Yeah, I made up a word - what's it to ya!?

7. If I could choose to have summer or winter year round I'd pick summer. Hands down. No doubt about it. If you know me, you know the answer to that one without having to ask. I strongly believe in seasonal depression. Strongly.
