Miracles.

Thank God for little big miracles.

One of my best friends was on her way home from work this weekend when a work truck carrying 10' metal gas line pipes passed her, going the opposite direction. Three of the pipes came loose from the truck and hit her head on.

You always see nightmare stories on TV about fence poles & such that go straight through the windshied, impaling people and worse.

Thank God that the poles were as long as they were and for the fact that they hit her Jeep sideways. It probably saved her life. Well, you know, that and God.

She's doing okay. She had to go through the trauma of being showered in glass, having her clothes cut off of her, and being taken by ambulance to the hospital.

The guy driving the truck slowed down long enough to see what happened & then took off. I can't imagine not knowing whether or not you just killed someone, but not sticking around to find out.

Thank God there was an EMT a few cars back.

Thank God her co-workers were in their cars directly behind her.

Thank God she hadn't gotten to daycare yet to pick up her daughter.

Thank God she's alive.
