Whew, we made it.

Congratulations, we've made it through the worst months of the entire year. January and February are finally gone and I don't have to think about them for ten more months. It's finally March. That big dark cloud that's been following me around can finally retreat.

I developed my hatred for January & February when I was in college. I hated the cold. I hated how it hurt your nose and chest to walk from one building to the other because the wind was so dang cold. I hated getting out of class at 5:30, it was already dark, and I had to walk to my car.. in the cold. There's nothing to look forward to in those months. No breaks. No exciting events. Nada.

And then March rolls in. It finally starts to warm up. On those exceptionally warm days, you skip class to lay by the pool and drink. Or play frisbee on Bowman. Or if you're feeling super motivated, you run Perimeter (that didn't happen often). People start to come out of hibernation and eat lunch in the ampitheather. Tailgating for baseball starts. Then Carolina Cup. Spring Break. Easter. And soon after, summertime.

Of course, I'm not in college anymore, so most of those things don't apply, and last year we were doing last minute things for our wedding. This year, I'm looking forward to finishing our fence so that I can sit in the sun, on our porch, and actually let Costa off her leash. I'm looking forward to spending way too much money on our landscaping. And making certain neighbors mad by mowing the grass in my bathing suit (I really don't see what the problem is).

So, regardless of the fact that it's Monday and it's barely above freezing outside, it's MARCH! Hallelujah!
