TGIF & Fill in the blank Friday!
I couldn't need for today to be Friday any more than I do now. Having the "flu bug" is not fun when it's beautiful outside. And missing a day of work threatens your Saturday with catching up. So, come hell or high water, I was coming in to work today. And I made it. Whew.
You know, one of the things that I usually look forward to on Fridays is going to the bank. I get to catch up with my co-workers, and who doesn't like putting $$ in the bank? Well, they've transfered one of my co-workers to a different branch. One of my best friends, the one who had the miscarriage a couple of months ago, just miscarried again. And then there is the head teller who lost her husband. So, on top of all that misfortune, I am sick. And I just don't want to deal with it today. Maybe I'm being selfish. I just don't have the emotional energy to walk in and have 25 "have you heard"s. I can't deal with the customers, who, five months later, are just realizing I don't work there anymore. So, I'm sending AJ. I'm hoping he can escape unscathed.
Now that I've gotten that out, it's Fill-in-the-blank Friday at Lauren's blog!
1. The best day ever was our wedding day. We partied like rock stars. The one thing I regret is not being able to party with our friends afterwards. We heard they had a blast.
2. My favorite meal of the day is breakfast. I could eat cereal for every meal.3. This weekend I will be sitting on the porch, in the sun, reading my book. Did I mention that another book is ready for pick up at the library?
4. Never in my life have I (hmm, I feel like I'm playing a strange version of "Never Have I Ever") worn garnet, intentionally. Those formative years spent wearing maroon gym t-shirts did not sway me towards USC.
5. The only thing better than cereal is surfing with my hubby and sister.
6. I could really do with some home cooking & time to read. Oh, and some sun.
7. The most recent thing I bought myself was a skirt & dress from Belk. I would really like to buy a new bathing suit. Oh the woes of being married & broke. :-)
