A little bit of my childhood.

Okay, judge me all you want, but I grew up watching this show,
and I absolutely loved it. My mom and I watched it together from the time I was in the 5th grade through the end, when I was in college.

I was flipping channels last night & found it on the Hallmark channel. The episode was somewhere around season 4-5.

My parents started buying me the seasons on DVD (one each Christmas) after the show ended, but when they tried to buy the third season, all they could find was the entire series, and then I ended up getting married and it lost priority points. Now they've released all of the seasons, and I want to pick up on buying them again, but they're still pretty pricey! Most of the seasons come in at $25-40, which I guess isn't much, but it is when you're trying to save money!! I think I'll put them on my birthday/Christmas wish list.

I really would like to have them before they stop selling them. I think it would be a great thing to have when we have a family. A lot of people think they're cheesy, dumb, and a ridiculous far stretch from reality. But I grew up with much older siblings & enjoyed watching what a "big family" was like. I really could watch this show over and over and not get tired of it. So, maybe I'll spend my Etsy income on purchasing the seasons until I have the entire set? One way or another, I am going to get my hands on them!!

Did anyone else out there watch 7th Heaven or am I the only geek?

  2. I did!!! I loved it!! AND on the secret life of the american teenager the other night Ruthie was actually old enough for them to imply she had sex with the one guy! I was stunned and I couldn't believe little Ruthie was that old! I felt awkward watching her even kiss the guy let alone what they were implying happened when the door shut!

  13. I still love that show! My husband makes fun of me but every once and a while I will be flipping through the channels and it will be on so I will watch.

And I have to agree with Adorably Distracted.....very awkward watching Ruthie imply that she had sex on Secret Life (my newer TV show addiction)! I also couldn't get over it when Reverend Camden played in the Babysitters Seduction (Lifetime movie)....seriously, Reverend Camden as an adulterous murderer?!? Craziness!!!
