Too much retail therapy.
Just when January hits & I think I'm safe from the over-consumption spell, I spend way too much [more] money. I bought my brother in law a shirt online for his birthday (not so bad), but decided AJ could stand to have a new pair of shorts, since they were on sale. And Costa needed some new dog toys, because she ripped through all of hers. Then, since AJ is on a diet, we bought a new scale (those are expensive!). One of AJ's GM is in town this weekend, so they decided to head up to Dick's Sporting goods this afternoon. That gave me the opportunity to hit up Starbucks and Old Navy. I picked up a rain jacket for my niece's birthday and a pair of khaki's for AJ. They the boys decided they needed to head to another mall to go to Bass Pro Shops. So, off we went, where I ventured into VS' semi-annual sale. Bra. Check. Panties. Check. While I was at it, I stopped by the Icing so I could get some hoops for my second holes. I almost bought AJ a new cell phone, too, but his plan does not support upgrades, so that makes the phones about $200-500. Finally, we went home, where I was finally able to put away my smoking debit card. I really need to stop. spending. money. Seriously. When will I learn? Especially when our power bill came in the mail today - double what it normally is.
And Victoria's Secret? I have a bone to pick with you. I know for a fact what size bra I wear. It's been the same since I was 19. And I've been wearing VS bras since I was 19. So I pick up the cutest little number today. Bring it home. Try it on. It's tiny! I get it out to compare to the exact same bra I have in a different color. It's about one size smaller. How can they put the same size on two things so drastically different? Now I have to go back up to the mall to exchange it. I know it's been a while since I bought a bra, but are they changing up the sizes and not telling me? Cause that's not cool, VS, not cool.
And a question to you all: Do any of you have your third piercing on your ear lobe? Did you have to pierce through cartilage or is it just skin? If it's cartilage, did it hurt much worse than a regular ear piercing?

I don't know if VS is making their bras smaller or not. But I do know that one time Kohls was having one of their amazing sales, and they had this shirt I really liked for $2.00 or something. I tried one on, and it fit. So I grabbed another one in a different color of the same size, bought them, and went home. And they definitely were NOT the same size, despite what the tags said. So maybe the bra just somehow got the wrong tag or something? I have no idea.
ReplyDeleteI have six holes in my ears, and that's where I stopped cause I didn't want to hit cartilage. So I would think at three, you definitely wouldn't hit it. However, the piercing that I do have in my cartilage hurt about 20x more than the rest.
I have the cartilage pierced on the tops of both of my ears. Cartilage definately hurt worse than the other 2 holes I have, but totally worth it!
ReplyDeleteI have my thirds pierced. Since my ears are a tiny bit different from each other one barely snagged the cart. & the other is just skin. so it kind of depends on the ear.
ReplyDeletei also have my cartilage pierced twice and it (surprisingly) didn't hurt as bad as normal ear piercing and healed much faster!
so even if it does hit the cart. - it isn't too bad! (:
I have three holes and my cartilage in each ear. My cartilage got infected in one ear so I took it out, and then had to take out the other for a job, and any time i tried to put an earring in there since, it got infected. I'd say stay away from cartilage, it's not worth the pain. None of the three holes I have go into my cartilage, so you should be safe with three.
ReplyDeleteI have a third hole and it's not cartilage. I did get cartilage pierced in both my ears though and it definitely hurt more then the regular piercings. I would go to a store that specializes in piercings to get it done if it's cartilage instead of someplace that uses a gun because the gun will hurt MUCH more than using a needle.
