Blast from the Past #2

When I was in school, I would get sick about once a year. Mainly strep throat. Or a cold. Then I graduated & started working at the bank where I pretty much had to build my immune system from square one. I was sick like 4 times in one year. And then, I just quit getting sick. It's been about a year & a half and I haven't had so much as the slightest cold. Until today. I watched my sister's girls this weekend so Santa could go shopping. My youngest niece sneezed, coughed, and snotted all over me, but I blamed it on her having gotten her shots on Friday. Then on Sunday night, my middle niece came down with a fever. And then my sister. And I've had a sore throat (which I swore allergies were to blame for) since Monday. I even took the high-powered $100 a bottle allergy medicine. Nothing. Still feels like I'm swallowing a knife. Uuugh. Right at Christmas? Really?

Anyway, as promised, here are some more mostly-embarrassing-but-some-kinda-funny pictures.

I was supposed to go to this outdoor candle thing with a super hott guy (well, at the time he was hott), and he definitely bailed on me last minute. My date replacement? My 5 year old nephew. And my mom with her totally cool ear muff headband. Circa 2004

Sorry for the randomness (as if the rest of them aren't) of this picture, but I had just met AJ the summer I went to Guatemala and he surprised me by showing up at the airport to pick me up when I got back. It was sweet. Circa 2006

Okay, enough for today. Posting might be scarce in the next couple of days. My brother's family comes in for Christmas tomorrow (yes, please pray for me :-)), my family celebrates Christmas Eve, and AJ's family has Christmas Day. We will have a packed week, but I'm sooo looking forward to it!
