Halloween Weekend
AJ and I bought about 4 bags of candy for the neighborhood kids. We had about 6 kids. Needless to say, we'll be dining on candy for the next couple of weeks.
We went to a new church this morning. It is similar to this one, that I went to when I was at school. Of course, when I was in school, the church had about 15,000 people that came on any given Sunday. They had 4 different services. They play some secular music that the lyrics could have some double meanings: Lifehouse, Rascal Flatts, etc. They're very media based & all the messages are part of little mini-series, so for a Type A like me, it makes my little organization-happy soul very pleased. Of course the church here is meeting in a movie theater and only has about 35-40 people, but that's where the first church started, and 10 years later they have 4 locations & a ridiculous amount of people. Some people don't agree with the mega-church, but I think if that style brings people to church, and traditional hymns don't, so be it. AJ and I have been to 4 different churches in the past year, and we're both pretty tired of switching up. I still really like the one we're at now - it's just not as young people-based as the one we tried today. We'll see.
In other news, I have been completely living under a ROCK. How did I not know about ULTA? I ventured in to ULTA today when AJ went to the man cave (aka Dick's Sporting Goods). I had been planning on going to the Dollar Store to stock up on some stuff like bronzer, blush, foundation, lip gloss. I may have spent a lot more $, but I am in make-up heaven. They're prices are kind of high, I mean, compared to Wal-Mart, but they carry a lot higher-end stuff that I wouldn't normally look at. I was happy with my Mary Kay & Covergirl stuff. However, I did learn an important lesson when I got home and started going through the stuff I bought. Baked eye-shadows are not like normal shadows, and when you dump them upside down, they will fall out. And break. Into lots of pieces. And you will be severely disappointed. So don't do it. Take it from me.
AJ & I just finished an afternoon watching my nieces. It was my excuse to watch the Hannah Montana movie. It was super cute, I have to admit. And if I were 4 years younger, I would totally have a crush on Lucas Till:
I mean... hooooooottt. Just sayin'...

Have you discovered E.L.F. yet?
ReplyDeleteEverything is a dollar or cheap and I like everything I have tried. The Target in Anderson is starting to carry it, but you can find it all at eyeslipsface.com.
Candy for dinner for the next week doesn't seem so bad :)
