Finally here!

I meant to write a Goodbye for the Week post, but I forgot. AJ made me bring my laptop along for "wave checking" purposes, so here I am.

We left at 3:30am on my birthday (yes, today is the big day) and we just got to the house about an hour ago. Welcome to the OBX. We'll be spending my birthday week surfing, fishing, reading, and laying out. Being lazy. I can't think of a better way.

Of course, in the first 5 minutes we were here, I put all my clothes into a dresser drawer and then dropped it on my foot. My toes are purple and sore. Lovely.

I celebrated with some blueberry cobbler at my parents' house last night & my parents gave me $50 with a post it note that says, "This is for the mall." Thanks, Mom, for the excuse to not save.

AJ started my birthday gifts last night. He's a big fan of multiple gifts instead of one large gift. I got a Clemson collar and leash for Costa (okay, not so much for me, but) last night, and this morning he gave me The Time Traveler's Wife (I was #37 on the list at the library) and some tequila & margarita mix... yum. Apparently I have one more present? We'll see.

I am off to take my sweaty, dirty, stinky, wind blown, un-showered self to the shower. I'll be back to the blog world next Sunday!
