A little therapy

I am really starting to feel the stress. In addition to the (what seems like) ever present drama that my brother brings to the table, I walk into work this morning, only to have a "team meeting" in front of like 10 employees, where the head teller says "No more personal business at work." At first, I thought she meant that we shouldn't be updating our checkbooks and checking FB from our phones (like one girl does CONSTANTLY). Nope. When Laura asked what personal business we weren't supposed to be doing, she said "Wedding invitations, crosswords, that kind of thing." No one does crosswords... Why didn't you just call me out, instead of addressing the group? Not to mention that yesterday, I read an e-mail on my phone in the afternoon when the head teller was gone. Then, I gave my phone to Lisa to let her read. It didn't distract anyone. I had it tucked away & read it when there were no customers. But we have a certain tattle-tail who happened to be in the vault, alone, with the head teller for about 15 minutes before our lecture.

And my tailor called me today to reschedule. This is the second time he hasn't finished my dress by our appointment time. It's starting to irritate me. He does wedding dresses all the time. Doesn't he understand how stressful having to reschedule appointments is when you work 40 hours a week?

But, after what has seemed like the hardest month I've had in a long time, my mom and I headed out for the day with one less thing on the agenda. We visited the 21st Ave. branch of the bank I work at. My mom deals with the loan officers there, so it was nice to see other branches, during working hours. Their bank is soooo much nicer than hours, it's ridiculous. They actually have a separate room for their drive through. Anyway, that's besides the point. We ordered wedding favors. Koozies that will have a palmetto tree and our names. No purple ink :-(. But orange koozies! I'll post the proof when I get it.

The best part of the day, though, was the retail therapy.
I got these super cute black shoes:

And a cute black skirt from Kohl's that I can't find online :-(.

Today was also my niece's 1st birthday, so I bought her some outfits at Once Upon a Child (because they wear their clothes twice, so why not buy more for the money, gently used?) and this adorable growth chart:

... which my sister also bought. So I'm going to take mine back and get her the matching book ends.

Clemson is currently beating Duke (26-17), so I have to go witness this spectacular event.
